New year on your own terms ....

As we enter the new year, it's natural to be bombarded with messages about up-leveling, creating a vision board, setting goals, and making changes to improve your life. While these concepts can be helpful, it's important to recognize that there is no one "right" way to approach personal growth.

It's important to embrace the radical notion that you may be perfectly okay just as you are in this moment, and that's okay. While some of these popular concepts may work for you, remember that what works for one person may not work for another, and what works for you now may not work forever.

It's crucial to take the time to figure out what truly resonates with you, and don't feel ashamed if something that everyone else is doing doesn't feel right for you. Use discernment and trust yourself to make the best decisions for your own growth.

When you're feeling desperate, it's important to take a step back and reset before moving forward. Desperation can lead to disconnectedness from your nervous system, and this is not the energy you want to lead with. Instead, take time to create a solid foundation before making any big changes.

Remember, feeling fear before a leap or change is normal, but it should ultimately feel different from desperation. Life offers us many opportunities to learn and grow, so practice trusting yourself and making decisions that align with your true self.

Personal resets are an amazing opportunity to shift things up in our lives. The key to success, however, lies in understanding our own patterns, rhythms, and needs. While some years we may feel motivated to knuckle down and work hard, other years may require a time for healing or rest. It is essential to nourish ourselves and listen to our needs during these times. Healing is not a linear process, and pushing ourselves against the grain rarely leads to the desired outcome. Instead, imagine learning to trust ourselves amidst all the noise and hype. This could truly change your life, allowing you to make decisions based on your own needs and desires.

Understanding and regulating our nervous system is an essential step in this process. By achieving alignment, we can make decisions from a place of clarity and confidence.

Numerology is another tool that can help us gain insight into our personal year cycles, as well as collective, monthly, and weekly cycles. While this may not be for everyone, it has proven to be a useful tool for many.

If you are feeling out of sync with the typical New Year's hype, it is important to remember that the "New Year" does not start until the spring equinox. You may find your motivation rising around February, which aligns with "Imbolc," the halfway point to spring.

In conclusion, while it is great to make vision boards and set goals, it is crucial to ensure that they align with our body and nervous system. Above all, do the New Year on your own terms and listen to what you need. There is no right or wrong way to approach it. Turn down the noise of the outside world to truly hear what you need and find what works for you.

Iā€™d love to hear your thoughts on this?
